Braai lovers attending the Braai Day event enjoyed boerewors rolls while being entertained by some of South Africa’s best musical acts, such as Die Heuwels Fantasties, Jack Parow and Mi Casa. The Braai or Heritage Day celebration was hosted by Savanna at Hamilton’s Rugby Club in Greenpoint.

Savanna donated one ton of meat to the South African FoodBank for Braai Day to ensure that less fortunate South Africans also got an opportunity to celebrate South African culture on Heritage Day.

“The main purpose of this initiative was to give back to South Africans in need and what better day to do this than Heritage Day (Braai Day), a day for remembering our cultural heritage with a truly proudly South African brand, Savanna,” said Liezl Dippenaar, Marketing Manager of Savanna South Africa.
